Frequently Asked Questions

 

  • How do I place an order?

Search for one or more products and add them to your shopping cart.  You can adjust your required quantity of each product. Select View Cart when you have finished shopping and complete the checkout process.

  • How does the ordering process work?

We will indicate if a product is in stock or the potential lead time on each product.  Add the products to your shopping cart and we will advise you if the lead times change on out of stock products.

  • How do I know if my order has been received by Technical Books?

Please provide an email address when required during the shopping process and the system will send you an email with your order confirmation once the order is processed and paid.

  • How do I check on my order once placed?

You will continue to receive emails as your order status changes i.e. picked, packed, despatched etc.  You can also sign-in to your account, email us or use the Live Chat option to get updated information.

  • Do you have a shop I can visit?

We are website based and do not currently have a retail shop.

  • Can I cancel my order?

Orders may be cancelled and any products already despatched will have to be returned at the client’s expense.  Returned goods must be in ‘as new’ condition.

  • Can I place an order for delivery to a foreign country?

We currently only accept payment in Rand and delivery to South African addresses.

  • When will my order be delivered?

The longest product lead time will generally determine when orders are delivered.

  • What are my delivery costs?

There will be special offers from time to time but delivery costs will be roughly R15 / kilogram with a minimum value of R85.00.
